The Greater Newcastle Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a special grant opportunity for local businesses during the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches hosted in the Greater Seattle area.

This once-in-a-generation event brings the world to our region — and we want Newcastle-area businesses to be part of the celebration.

 

Through this initiative, the Chamber will distribute $5,000 in total funding, with individual grants ranging from $500–$1,500, to support enhanced, family-friendly public viewing experiences.

We are looking for creative, community-centered events that go beyond simply turning on a television.

What We’re Looking For

​

We encourage businesses to think big:

• Outdoor or expanded viewing areas

• Large-screen or projector upgrades

• Cultural programming or themed experiences

• Family-friendly activities

• Special menus or extended hours

• Creative partnerships with other local businesses

Events must be:

• Free and open to the public

• Family-friendly

• Located in Newcastle, Renton, or Bellevue (Greater Newcastle area)

• Enhanced beyond standard operations

 
Funding Details

• Total Grant Pool: $5,000

• Individual Awards: $500–$1,500

• Funds provided as reimbursement after the event

• Board-selected awards

• Applications Open: March 15, 2026

• Application Deadline: April 1, 2026

• Awards Announced: By April 15, 2026
