Karin Blakley


Karin Frost Blakley is a Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed, and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and Accredited Asset Manager Specialist designations. She has served as President of the Newcastle Chamber for two years, as a Newcastle Planning Commissioner for over eight years, and has resided in the Newcastle area with her two sons since 1993.  Waddell & Reed and the Newcastle Chamber are unaffiliated.  

Mark Hutcheson


Mark Hutcheson is the Vice President, Branch Manager for HomeStreet Bank’s Newcastle office.  Mark’s background includes management roles in the industrial and service sectors, where he gained an appreciation for the challenges faced by small business owners.

Amy George is a Curriculum Writer and Educator with experience in K-12 classroom teaching, curriculum development, and professional teacher training. She served as Hazelwood Elementary PTSA President for two years and is currently the Content Coordinator for Newcastle Living magazine. "Getting involved in the Chamber has been a great way to stay connected as a home-based business and serve my local community.”

Beth A. McDaniel

Beth A. McDaniel is a certified elder law attorney, as accredited by the National Elder Law Foundation. She is the principal of the Law Offices of Beth A. McDaniel, PLLC, with offices in Renton and Bellevue, where she practices in the areas of estate planning, special needs planning, guardianship, probate, elder law, and trust administration. Beth resides in Newcastle with her husband Tim Siebersma and their two children.

Norma is Director of Partnerships and Alliances for New Generation Strategies, a local insurance brokerage that with expertise in the Medicare insurance portfolio of products for senior and special needs individuals.

Caroline Smith

Caroline Smith is the owner of Dataworks Consulting, a company that supports the technology needs of small to mid-size businesses in the Puget Sound Area. Besides calling Newcastle, WA home for the last 14 years, Dataworks is also a Certified Women Owned Business. When not working Caroline loves spending time with her family and her dog, Arlo.

Verity Swearingen


Verity came to Newcastle after graduating from WSU with a degree in Hospitality and Business Management. After working in the wine industry for several years, she moved over to BECU, a member owned and not-for-profit credit union that puts people over profit.

Clare Vellek


As a Realtor®, I have discovered not many people know where Newcastle is and how close it is to major shopping and business districts... not to mention our own. As a Newcastle Chamber board member, I want to help build Newcastle's presence showing it is a viable resource for the surrounding communities.
