Norma is Director of Partnerships and Alliances for New Generation Strategies, a local insurance brokerage that with expertise in the Medicare insurance portfolio of products for senior and special needs individuals.

CHAMBER VICE PRESIDENT | BECU

Verity came to Newcastle after graduating from WSU with a degree in Hospitality and Business Management. After working in the wine industry for several years, she switched gears to BECU; a local, member owned, not-for-profit credit union known for being more than just money. As a cooperative, BECU brings people together to improve the financial well-being of their members and their communities. Verity serves as a Program Manager for Commercial & Business Services where she is dedicated to improving the member experience with new features, products and services that businesses need to be efficient and stay competitive. Her favorite part of her role at BECU is highlighting local businesses in member focused marketing. 

Beth A. McDaniel

Beth A. McDaniel is a certified elder law attorney, as accredited by the National Elder Law Foundation. She is the principal of the Law Offices of Beth A. McDaniel, PLLC, with offices in Renton and Bellevue, where she practices in the areas of estate planning, special needs planning, guardianship, probate, elder law, and trust administration. Beth resides in Newcastle with her husband Tim Siebersma and their two children.

Caroline Smith

CHAMBER TREASURER | Dataworks Consulting

Caroline Smith is the owner of Dataworks Consulting, a company that supports the technology needs of small to mid-size businesses in the Puget Sound Area. Besides calling Newcastle, WA home for the last 14 years, Dataworks is also a Certified Women Owned Business. When not working Caroline loves spending time with her family and her dog, Arlo.

Karin Blakley

PAST PRESIDENT | Waddell & Reed

Karin Frost Blakley is a Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed, and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and Accredited Asset Manager Specialist designations. She has served as President of the Newcastle Chamber for two years, as a Newcastle Planning Commissioner for over eight years, and has resided in the Newcastle area with her two sons since 1993.  Waddell & Reed and the Newcastle Chamber are unaffiliated.  
 

Amy George

AT-LARGE MEMBER | Curriculum Writer & Educator

Amy George is a Curriculum Writer and Educator with experience in K-12 classroom teaching, curriculum development, and professional teacher training. She served as Hazelwood Elementary PTSA President for two years and is currently the Content Coordinator for Newcastle Living magazine. "Getting involved in the Chamber has been a great way to stay connected as a home-based business and serve my local community.”

Mark Hutcheson

Mark Hutcheson is the Vice President, Branch Manager for HomeStreet Bank’s Newcastle office.  Mark’s background includes management roles in the industrial and service sectors, where he gained an appreciation for the challenges faced by small business owners.

Andy Sharpe

AT LARGE MEMBER | Coal Creek Family YMCA

Andy Sharpe has served as the Coal Creek Family YMCA Branch Executive since November 2019.  Originally from North Carolina, Andy has lived in the Puget Sound area since 2014 and has supported various YMCAs across King County.  As a lifelong non-profit professional, Andy has experience with developing community partnerships, philanthropy, and volunteer stewardship that has benefited each the communities in which he has worked.  Andy looks forward to lending this expertise to the Newcastle Chamber in the coming years.  In his free time, Andy enjoys hiking, golf and watching his Tar Heels play college basketball.
