Hybrid Luncheon

We are continuing our hybrid Luncheon for the month of September. The Chamber is offering two options for you to attend our monthly luncheon; our current Virtual Luncheon hosted on Zoom and the In-Person Option to meet at Tapatio Mexican Grill. You will need to register in advance for the option you prefer. For those choosing to attend In-Person at Tapatio, you will order your lunch off the regular menu and pay your lunch fee directly to Tapatio. The speaker portion of the luncheon will be broadcast on the TV screens.

Topic: Collaboration for more Customers 

No one shops in town. Businesses aren’t encouraged/celebrated. People complain they didn’t know something was happening even though they advertised traditional/online. Very little neighboring city commerce trickles down to your town. Shop local is getting worn out. Everyone shops at box stores/chains. People say they want certain businesses, then they don’t support them.   

How do we get local businesses to work together? 

We’ve heard all the excuses; local businesses: 

• won’t cooperate, too jealous, too competitive with each other,
• won’t share advertising, won’t participate in group promos, not cross-selling each other, won’t pool resources
• need to adapt to coming changes, 
• won’t refer customers to others who could serve them, 
• and so many more.

Join in the virtual presentation to hear the stories from other chambers and what their businesses are doing to promote local businesses. It’s not just shop local that is needed to survive! Learn to collaborate and grow your businesses.
