December 9th Virtual Chamber Luncheon with Speaker Shawn Sweeney, Frosty Barrel

What started as a “classic touch” on the Frosty Barrel logo, “Est. 2020” has become a symbol of perseverance and defiance of the pandemic world we live in.  Shawn will share the origin story of the Frosty Barrel “Ice Cream Bar”, and how they have been growing in the pandemic here in Newcastle.

About Our Speaker: Prior to starting Frosty Barrel, Shawn ran both global loyalty innovation and digital customer experience at Starbucks, where as the VP of Digital Experiences, he led the teams that drove customer and employee connection, convenience and growth that were featured as primary growth drivers on 6 consecutive earnings calls.  He also led the marketing, analytics and digital product teams at Blue Nile, and was a co-founder of BigTrip - a machine learning recommendation engine for entire vacation itineraries. Shawn has lived in Newcastle since 2006, and has three daughters (Maddison, Morgan and Meika) with his wife Allison.
