POSTPONEMENT OF DIAMOND AWARDS EVENT

  

Due to the rapidly evolving novel coronavirus event and following the recent recommendations of health officials, we have concluded that it is in the best interest of our community to postpone the 2020 Diamond Awards. As soon as a new date has been finalized it will be posted. In the meantime, we send our condolences to those that have been affected by the virus and hope that our community members remain in good health.

The Diamond Awards is a not to be missed event! Come celebrate nominees who help make Newcastle a very special community and enjoy the musical talents of our local students. We are thrilled to announce that nationally recognized singer/song writer Benicio Bryant will perform LIVE at the event!

The Newcastle Diamond Awards ceremony is an annual event that recognizes community members who do good things in the greater Newcastle area. The recipient of The Diamond Award is chosen based on his or her contribution to the community. The recipients demonstrate dedication, integrity and caring, with a passion for doing what needs to be done.

Come celebrate our finalists in each of seven community awards categories as we reveal the Diamond Award Recipient(s)!

The evening will also feature the musical talents of some of our local students, and we are thrilled to announce that nationally recognized singer/song writer Benicio Bryant will perform LIVE the night of the event!

Benicio Bryant is a 15 year old singer songwriter from Maple Valley, Wa. His passion for music began at a very early age. He began singing at age 2 and has never stopped. His love and appreciation for music continues and has allowed him to travel to Germany and throughout the US. He has been lucky enough to sing with Grammy Award winner, Brandi Carlile on The Seth Meyers show and most recently, on America’s Got Talent, making it through to the top 10! Benicio continues to follow his dreams of writing and producing his own music.
